Swarandeep Singh Kambo serves as the Founder of Lykke Group, consisting of Lykke Capital, a micro-VC fund, and Lykke Advisors, a sustainability finance & startup fundraising advisory. For his work with Lykke Group, the US as provided him with an O-1A visa - Visa for Individuals with Extraordinary Ability or Achievement.

As General Partner of Lykke Capital, Swarandeep oversees the strategic direction of the fund. His primary responsibilities include sourcing and screening investment opportunities, and ensuring investments meet financial and operating objectives. Swarandeep oversees the fund's portfolio, including Lets Dress Up (LDU), Glip, Praush Beauty, TravClan, Recur Club, Intents Mobi, Sorted, Nected AI, Fibr AI, and Zime AI.

In addition, Swarandeep is a Venture Capital Scout with Saison Capital, the corporate arm of Credit Saison, a Tokyo-listed 30b AUM consumer finance company and one of the largest credit card issuers in Japan. He supports the corporate venture arm, which does direct and fund-of-fund investments.

Previous Experience

From 2022 to 2023, Swarandeep was Head of Partnerships and Senior Director - Growth at Lykke Capital’s portfolio company, Recur Club. Its mission is to provide frictionless debt to tech entrepreneurs, empowering their growth while preserving equity and control.

In 2021, Swarandeep was a Sustainable Finance Specialist at The CGIAR Hub for Sustainable Finance (ImpactSF) is a key technical partner for sustainable finance actors, integrating science-based impact KPIs in all areas of the investment lifecycle. This includes investment design, pipeline development, investment screening, due diligence, implementation, post-investment monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV).

From 2018 to 2021, Swarandeep was a Member of the UNLEASH Secretariat. His primary responsibilities included helping social ventures, both for-profit and non-profit, addressing the UN Sustainable Development Goals, fundraising from UNLEASH's network of funders, including the Gates Foundation, Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, Deloitte, and Chemonics; managing a global community of 4,000+ participants, mentors, and facilitators from 170+ countries and 350+ institutional partners; and managing a pre-accelerator program, UNLEASH Plus, a global 6-month incubation program for entrepreneurs working on social or environmental challenges, in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Before UNLEASH, Swarandeep was Investment Manager for Madrid-headquartered Axon Partners Group’s $15m growth-stage VC fund, India Opportunities Fund, and its maiden Fund-of-VC-Funds, Aurora I. He was part of a 4-member team that managed Aurora’s fundraising with the European Commission and EIF, and screened 35 VC funds from Nordics, Turkey, and India. He led Axon’s investment in a data center and cloud services company, NxtGen Data Centre and Cloud Services, and led the exit process of three portfolio companies.

Swarandeep is a member of the Board of Directors of the initiative: Eau & Womenite.

He received a B.E. in Information Technology from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT). He is a member of the 2017 Class of UNLEASH Fellows, 2018 Class of StartingBloc Fellows, and Climate Reality Leaders. He has spoken at several conferences & panels: GSG Global Summit, and HBS Business Club.

Swarandeep graduated with Bachelors of Engineering in Information Technology in 2011

Sugar on a Stick: He was the Project Lead - Sugar on a Stick (SoaS): a project that was a joint collaboration between OLPC, MIT Media Labs, SugarLabs and Boston University. The results was published in 2011 IEEE 11th International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies (ICALT) 

ScalableC: ScalableC, was an on-line platform to share ideas, develop project blueprints, organize information and content through videos, audios, and images for individuals, civil societies, and organization. The results were published in leading international conferences such as 2010 MIT Learning International Networks Consortium (LINC) , 2010 International Conference on Enterprise Information Systems and Web Technologies (EISWT) , and 2010 International Conference on Semantic Web and Web Services (SWWS).
